Once again I really liked how the chapters were split into two parts. The second half of each chapter is about Mr. Mitchel meeting up with one of his past students and seeing how they are doing. In chapters 4-6, he meets up with Nancy, Lourdes, and Paloma. He checks in with them to see how they are doing and what they are doing with their lives. This stands out to me because it seems that very few teachers these days genuinely care about how their students do after school and where their lives take them. Mr. Mitchel truly cares about his students and their lives and it is something that really stands out to me.
